Taking up residence at the Old Post Office, Pizza Locadeli is open for business until December 23 – offering a relaxed, Trattoria-style dining experience in a spacious and vibrant setting.
The restaurant, positioned as the hip little sister to the enduring, fine dining Locanda Locatelli in London’s Mayfair, serves a selection of traditional wood-fired pizzas that customers can watch being prepared in a traditional Italian, bustling open plan kitchen. Firm favourites from Pizza Locadeli 2014 – such as the Margherita and Caprese – are on the menu, but there’s also plenty of surprises too.
Standouts include the Tartufo, made with Taleggio and fresh black truffles, and the Seaside, made with tomato, mozzarella, prawns, swordfish, clams and salmoriglio. The menu also includes a selection of antipasti and pasta dishes, including Spaghetti alle vongole and Lasagne al ragout, Burrata with pumpkin, rocket and hazelnuts, and swordfish carpaccio with green apple and pomegranate. On the drinks front, expect classic cocktails such as Negronis and Aperol Spritzs and a number of specially selected wines.
Commenting on the opening, Plaxy said: “Pizza Locadeli was a great success last year, so we’re very excited to be opening once again in an entirely new location. We’re looking forward to sharing our love of classic Italian pizza made with our favourite seasonal ingredients. We can’t wait to introduce Pizza Locadeli to customers old and new, giving them the same quality of produce but in a pared down, more relaxed and basic setting.”
