Police sent a letter to a pregnant woman threatening her unborn baby with an ASBO.

Charlotte Childs, who is 36 weeks pregnant and her husband Damien received a letter inviting them to have a chat about their son’s bad behaviour.

And what was even more shocking was that the letter was addressed their son as George, the name the couple intended to give their son as a middle name.

In the letter, ‘George’ was accused of being one a group of youths causing trouble in the area.

Police have since apologised for the mistake.

Mrs Childs, 33, from Lincoln, said: “The letter said there had been an incident of anti-social behaviour and our child was identified as being part of this group.

“My husband looked at it and thought he’d had some sort of accident and skipped the last few years of his life – it was so funny.”

She added: “We’re just hoping it’s not an omen because the name used was George Childs. We won’t be using it as a middle name any more just in case.

“And we even said perhaps we should ground him when he gets older and tell him he’s not allowed out because of this.”
