Meet the polite robber who held up a US petrol station with astonishing good manners, calling his victim Sir and repeatedly apologising.
Polite robber Gregory Hess bought a coffee from a petrol station in Seattle before whipping out a gun and asking cashier John Henry to empty the till.
“Could you do me a favour – could you empty that till for me please?” asked Hess.
When asked what he was doing, Hess politely explained: “I’m robbing you Sir.
“I’m really sorry to do this, but I’ve got kids that have to be fed Sir.”
After being handed about $300, the polite robber thanked his victim.
“Thank you very much, I really appreciate it. And I’m sorry.
“And if I ever get back on my feet again, sir, I’ll bring it back.”
The shopkeeper said that although he’d been robbed several times this was the first time he’d felt any sympathy for the criminal.
Polite robber Gregory Hess was later arrested.
Hard not to feel sorry for him.
