Redneck Heaven restaurant, Lewisville, came under fire after a number of complaints to police about waitresses’ scantily-clad appearances. The city council has now ruled that it is illegal for women to cover their breasts wearing just body paint.
However, if the restaurant wishes to keep the controversial uniform they must apply for a Sexually Oriented Business permit, according to CBS DFW.
“If any business were to decide to become a licensed Sexually Oriented Business then none of this matters for that particular establishment, but it applies here because the complaints were about a business that is licensed as a regular restaurant,” Lewisville Community Relations Manager James Kunke said.
The establishment’s staff may be all for this move, as although they may miss the savings on their laundry bills the effort of removing the body paint after a long shift may be encouragement enough to keep their tops on.
Regulars are to be assured that the signature ‘Border Patrol Belt Buster’ and ‘Double-Bubba Pounder’ are still available, even if breast has been removed from the menu.
