Using their Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, Qantas will fly direct between London and Perth, WA bringing a predicted huge boost to jobs and tourism. The UK provides the third largest amount of visitors to Oz with 660,000 travelling in 2015.
When a route was first established in 1947, the trip would take 4 days with 9 stops – the new route will take just 17 hours.
