The Somerset site, started to ‘draw’ attention to a possible announcement earlier in the week, when the band’s ‘Angry Bear’ picture appeared to be going up around the iconic Pyramid Stage.

The logo associated with the Oxford band’s 2000 album – Kid A, was completed later on in the week, and Glastonbury announced via social media, that the band, who headlined in 1997 and 2003 will take to the stage once more on Friday, 23rd June.

Thom Yorke and his band, were a rumoured headline act, before it became fact. Others in the running for the Saturday and Sunday slots are Stone Roses, Kings of Leon and Lady Gaga. The Manchester band, who were meant to headline back in 1995, only for a band member to get injured, leading to Jarvis Cocker’s band Pulp, to headline to a rapturous acclaim.

Radiohead, earlier this year, released their 9th album – A Moon Shaped Pool and went on a short tour finishing with dates at London’s Camden Roundhouse.

Glastonbury Festival sold out it’s entire 135,000 ticket allocation for next year’s 4 day event last week. If you weren’t lucky enough to bag a ticket, look out early next year for an announcement on resale tickets.
