Rapper and I’m a Celebrity contestant Aggro Santos has been
charged with raping two women.
The Brazilian-born recording artist is accused of raping a
woman in Yeovil between 25 and 26 September last year, and another in
Chichester on 7 May 2011.
Another man has also been charged with the rape that
allegedly took place at The Ship Hotel in Chichester. Tyrelle Ritchie, 21, of
Vauxhall Road, London, and Mr Santos have been bailed and are due to appear at
Chichester Magistrates Court on 19 September.
Santos, whose real first name is Yuri, strongly denies
the claims.
His debut single, Candy, which features vocals from
ex-Pussycat Dolls member Kimberly Wyatt, went to number five in the UK charts.
He also had a number eight hit with Like U Like, featuring Girls Aloud’s
Kimberly Walsh.
However, Santos is probably better known for his appearance in
last year’s reality show I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in which he
appeared alongside Stacey Solomon, Dom Joly and Kayla Collins.
