In Lucas Belvaux’s well-crafted offering, a wealthy industrialist (Ivan Attal) is kidnapped and held to ransom, but his release is complicated by the self-serving agendas of those in his life. Rapt is not only a gripping thriller but also a psychological study into the emotional fallout of a traumatic event.
