The Redback Tavern, in Acton, has been enbroiled in ongoing disputes over licensing and was recently forced to reduce its opeing hours after complaints from locals about noisy Antipodeans.
Depsite an online petition to keep the Redback Tavern open, it was announced today that the bar and live music venue is shutting down.
“The Redback is closed until further notice,” said a statement on the Redback website.
According to the Australian Times, however, the closure may not to permanent and management have called a meeting next week to decide on whether the bar will bite the dust.
