The much loved TV presenters spoke of their willingness to help each other in an interview with the Daily Telegraph.
“I wouldn’t give a tuppenny fuck if there was a risk of being prosecuted. I’d do what was right for my wife,” said Madeley, while Finnegan chimed in with similar thoughts. “Stuff it all! We’ve made ourselves give each other a pledge along those lines,” she said.
The couple have been contemplating the end because Mr Madeley’s mother died from Alzheimer’s and lung cancer last month – prompting them to examine their own mortality.
Madeley even spoke about his own methods of suicide, saying that if he chose to end his life because of terminal illness, he would favour ‘the locked room, the bottle of whisky and the revolver’. What a guy.
