Rihanna says that her fame “scares men away.”
The singer dished about love, relationships and her career in the newest issue of Cosmopolitan.
“It can definitely be intimidating to guys to date someone in the industry. And it's really hard to find a guy who doesn't care about that stuff. Right now, it's easier to just having my career to focus on,” she told the magazine.
But the focus on her career seems to be paying off. This May, Rihanna left the 2011 Billboard Awards with the Radio Artist of the Year and Top Female Artist of the Year.
Rihanna says she is “open to love,” but to potential suitors, be warned: this singer has lengthy lists of things she looks for in a man.
“I'm turned on to a guy by different things. It could be the way he looks. It could be his intelligence. It's really a spontaneous thing. I'm open to love but guys should have to earn it because the minute they get it, they want something else. Men are like hunters; they like the chase. So you have to keep them guessing,” Rihanna said.
In her interview, Rihanna also discusses her relationship with Chris Brown amid recent news that the two had exchanged messages on Twitter.
Rihanna is currently in the midst of touring in North America as part of her 2011 “Loud” tour. The “Loud” tour will make its debut in the UK in September, and she is expected to play at London's O2 Arena in early October .
