It is the second plaque dedicated to the former national treasure that has been stolen in the state.

Soon after his conviction, a bicentennial footpath plaque laid in his home suburb to Bassendean was also pinched.

Harris was jailed for five years and nine months earlier this month for indecently assaulting four girls in the UK between 1968 and 1986.
