Clarence House announced this week that Prince Harry and Megan Markle are engaged with the service to take place next year at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, in May 2018.

The happy couple came together for a photocall for the world’s media after making the announcement.

Markle, 36, who for many people is known as the actress Rachel Zane in the American legal drama – Suits, will be baptised into the Church of England before the wedding next year.

In their only official interview together with BBC news, Prince Harry revealed that the ‘stars were aligned’ after the couple were introduced via a blind date.

The pair, who were seen together at the Invictus Games which Prince Harry himself helps put together, proposed recently to Markle whilst cooking roast chicken.

“A standard typical night for us,” Prince Harry told BBC. “It was just an amazing surprise. It was so sweet, and naturual and very romantic. He got on one knee,” Markle replied.

The couple who will live in Nottingham Cottage, in Kensington Palace, make their first official engagement together in….Nottingham this Friday. An appearance will take place at a Terrence Higgins Trust Charity Fair for World Aids Day, before they will speak to students at Nottingham Academy.
