Last night, hundreds of servicemen and women from the Armed Forces came together for a dawn royal wedding rehearsal ahead of Prince William’s marriage to Kate Middleton on Friday.

During the walk-through royal wedding rehearsal, which began shortly before 5am, members from the Army, navy and RAF lined the route for a full-scale procession to Westminster Abbey complete with horse-drawn carriages and a royal fleet of cars.

The royal wedding rehearsal kicked off with the sounds of orders being barked out by a senior officer. Companies of the Royal Navy lined the end of the route while the Army lined Parliament Street. Soldiers also lined the route up to the Cenotaph outside Downing Street while the RAF lined the road up to Horse Guards Parade.
