Sean Kingston is in hospital after a jet ski accident in Miami Beach, Florida. Rihanna and other stars have joined the RnB star’s Twitter fans to “pray for Sean Kingston” as he is reportedly in critical condition.
According to Kingston’s publicist, the singer’s jet ski hit a bridge injuring him and a female passenger.
“Sean Kingston is now stabilised and has moved from the trauma unit to ICU (Intensive care Unit),” said a statement from Epic Records.
“Sean’s family thanks everyone for their prayers and support during this time.”
The extent of Kingston’s injuries is not known, but according to website TMZ an off-duty Coast Guard member who helped pull Kingston from the water said the star was coughing up blood.
Famous friends of Beautiful Girls singer Kingston have been tweeting their messages of support after the accident, which happened at 6pm on Sunday.
“Sean we praying for u baby,” Rihanna tweeted.
“Got my friend Sean Kingston in my prayers tonight,” said Justin Bieber, who has collaborated with Kingston in the past.
“A true friend and big bro. Please keep him in your prayers tonight as well.”
Bieber tweeted again the following day: “I will continue to support and pray for my friend.”
“My love & prayers are with Sean Kingston & his family,” said Nicki Minaj.
“Everybody pray for Sean Kingston,” wrote Lil Wayne.
“I hope and pray that Sean Kingston recovers quickly, stay strong,” tweeted LL Cool J.
Kingston, 21, hit the big time with 2007 hit Beautiful Girls. His self-titled debut album selling more than a million copies.
Sean Kingston was in Miami for Urban Beach Week, along with a number of other hip hop musicians.
The most recent tweets sent by the singer describe a weekend of pool parties and beaches.
“Pool party at tha king mansion 😉 miami is ours!!!…. @jbarsodmg is now in building!!!” Kingston tweeted on Sunday.
