According to The Telegraph, Australian officials have confirmed that underwater searches for its flight data recorders will be over within a week.
Malaysia’s defence minister Hishammuddin Hussein said on Saturday that the search has reached a ‘critical juncture’.
“I appeal to everyone around the world to pray and pray hard that we find something to work on in the next couple of days,” he said.
The search for the missing plane is now entering its seventh week, and officials are still unsure what caused the plane to veer so far from its plotted course.
