Shoe shop’s entire staff quit with public sign criticising manager’s ‘abuse and swearing’

The image of the resignation notice at the shop in Rochester, New York was posted on Reddit and quickly spread online.

The sign, stuck to the security grill of the locked store, read: “Dear Jamie. Since you decided to say ‘cancer is not an excuse’ and think it’s OK to swear at your employees like you do ALL the time WE QUIT”.

“THIS is why you can’t keep a store manager longer than a year. You abuse your roll (sic) and staff.”

A spokesperson for the shop, which was part of US chain Journeys, told Huffington Post: “We take situations like this seriously and are currently investigating this issue. Beyond this, we have no comment.”
