Shop watch: Alternative Fashion Week

All this week Spitalfields Market will host catwalk shows from 14 different designers a day, plus a fashion market selling hot new clothes and accessories.

With fashion ranging from edgy to elegant, the innovative pieces for men and women focus on original and recycled textiles, with special concern for environmental awareness and ethical sourcing.

Some designers will also offer exclusive discounts – Tina Lombodi, who will be there from April 19-21, is pledging a generous 30 per cent off items, including pieces from her new line.

Get over to Spitalfields and bag yourself some up-to-the-minute finds.
