The store’s founders, who continue to be inspired by the continent’s “colours, food, traditions, weddings, Bollywood, family, drama, harmony, traffic, smells, meddling relatives and nosy neighbours” have opened a pop-up to allow more people to discover the contemporary “in your face” creations of Indian craftspeople.
Venture here and you’ll be among the first to get your hands on Mahika’s 2012 collection, including bright, oversized tribal-print bangles, gorgeous drop earrings and quirky kitchen kitsch.
This is in addition to its usual range of scarves, bags, earrings and clothes.
A percentage of profits goes to an orphanage in India.
