Sienna Miller will be caught in a love triangle when she returns to the West End stage for the first time in six years.

The actress will star in Terence Rattigan’s Flare Path at the Theatre Royal. The 29-year-old last appeared in the West End in 2005 as Celia in As You Like It.

Miller agreed to appear in the play after being persuaded by director Trevor Nunn, who has long been an admirer of her work.

Flare Path is about RAF men during the Second World War and the women who wait for them to come home. In the play, Miller will play Patricia Graham, a former actress caught up in a love triangle. While Patricia is married to a pilot, Teddy, she also has feelings for an ex boyfriend.

Miller said the dialogue was “Stiff upper lip – and that stiff upper lip hides their true feelings.

“Once we’re in the rehearsal room there’s no one like Trevor to tell a story like this, and to uncover the subtext.”

The first preview is on March 4, with an official opening night on March 10.
