The X Factor star, 54, admitted to Sky News that before Eric was born he confessed to girlfriend Lauren Silverman that he had an inkling that he might prefer his two Yorkshire terriers, Squiddly and Diddly.
Luckily, Lauren knew best and told the concerned dad-to-be that he’d be fine. “Literally within seconds of him being born, I got it,” he said.
And if you think that Simon’s stopping there, you could be mistaken – he’s already mooted the idea that he’s not averse to the idea of another child.
“I wouldn’t rule out (more children),” he said, as quoted on the Sky News website. “I had a brother when I was younger, so I kind of think it’s cool to have two or three.”
Is Simon planning on spawning his very own chart-topping band? We’ll have to keep an eye on this one…
