The famed naturalist was due to kick off his Life on Earth tour Down Under in Brisbane next week, but has been rushed into hospital in London to have a pacemaker fitted today.
“Sir David expressed his extreme disappointment as he said he was very much looking forward to coming back to Australia and he hopes to reschedule his tour in the near future,” tour organiser Simon Baggs has said of the nws in a statement.
Sir David Attenborough is a famed natural historian who has studied the natural world for more than sixty years, and has fronted a number of programmes for the BBC on this subject such as the famous Life On Earth, Planet Earth and the recent Africa.
