2013’s Splendour lineup will be headlined by one of this year’s breakthrough artists in American hip-hop crooner Frank Ocean, UK indie folk legends Mumford & Sons and brooding, New York City rockers The National playing their only Australian show for the year.

Those three huge acts will be supported by a terrific, eclectic mix of international and Australian bands, producers and DJs including Icelandic outfit Of Monsters and Men, the US’ TV on the Radio, James Blake, Melbourne’s Architecture in Helsinki and a return to the big stage for former Powderfinger lead singer Bernard Fanning.

The three day festival will also be moving to its new, permanent residence in the North Byron parklands, having spent the last few years commuting seemingly between Byron and Woodford in Queensland.

As well as the numerous live music stages, Splendour’s famous extra-curricular activities have also been announced with a few old favourites returning to compliment a handful of new and exciting additions.

The ever popular Tipi Forest and Global Village will both be returning in 2013, you’ll also be able to unwind and lift a little of the camping dirt off yourself at the Splendour Day Spa.

Some of the new features coming in 2013 include a Miss Saigon Karaoke tent (Lord save us all) and an arts and craft area, cleverly named Splendour in the Craft (you get it?)

Held between the weekend of July 26–28th one of Australia’s favourite festivals will be returning in 2013 bigger and better than ever.
