Shortly following the festival, Steen was cast as the co-lead ‘John Mahogany’ – in the cult BBC3 comedy series Top Coppers. In addition to filming two television pilot’s for the ABC network (Australia) : The Record (playing multiple characters) and an improvisation special for The Bear Pack (the improv double-act he performs with Carlo Ritchie to capacity crowds in Sydney and Melbourne), Steen currently has several TV projects in development for both UK and Australian broadcasters.
Taking a year away from Edinburgh to concentrate on broadcast work in Australia, Steen’s 2015 live performance at the Melbourne Comedy Festival, gained him a coveted Barry Award nomination for Best Show.
Earlier this year, Steen filmed the forthcoming series of “Whose Line Is It Anyway” for Australian TV network; of which he forms one of the core team for the show.
Steen returned to Edinburgh this year with ‘You Know The Drill’; and then immediately followed by a short run at the Soho Theatre.
He is now back at the Soho theatre for an encore! This is the must-see show from one of the most innovative and exciting names in comedy. With carefully crafted characters, world-class improvisation and inspired spontaneity – this show is not to be missed.
