Getting There
Most budget airlines will fly you into either Skavsta or Vasteras Airport, which are both a good hour and a half by transfer bus out of town.
A return transfer shuttle costs about £20.
The main airport is Arlanda. You can take the Arlanda Express into the centre of Stockholm. It is pretty pricey though, expect to pay as much as you would for an express trains into London.
Getting Around
It’s best to explore Stockholm on foot or hire a bike to get out and see some of the further out islands.
There is also a the subway system T-bana, which will get you around to most of the downtown spots and which runs late on weekends.
