Just how much Stone Roses can the world take? Plenty actually – if online rumours of an upcoming European tour are to be believed.
While the Mancunian rockers have only officially announced three reunion gigs so far, website thestoneroses.co.uk has leaked details of an upcoming tour with three dates in London – on July 7 and 8 followed by another show at the iTunes Festival on July 16.
Tickets for the Manchester gigs, at Heaton Park on June 29, June 30 and July 1, sold out in record time – demand was so high that they became the fastest-selling rock concerts ever and raked in nearly £12.4million.
After the sellouts, frontman Ian Brown said the band were very satisfied.
“We plan on spending the rest of the day jumping up and down with our hands in the air,” he said.
Their European tour will allegedly kick off in Barcelona on July 20 before wrapping up in Oslo on August 3.
Frontman Ian Brown said of the reunion when it was announced: “This is a live resurrection, and you’re invited, so you better be there.
“We’ve still got it in us. No one in the world can touch the Stone Roses when we play together.”
