After one of his McFly bandmates checked in to rehab to deal with his alcohol problem, drummer Judd decided to quit drinking too. He has revealed how the decision helped him to focus and was instrumental in his triumphant run on the BBC dancing talent contest, culminating in his final victory at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom on Saturday.
“I don’t drink anymore. I stopped last year and it has been a good thing for me on Strictly – I’ve had no hangovers and been able to focus,” the 25-year-old said to The Sun.
Responding to questions as to how he would celebrate his win, he posted a picture on Twitter illustrating exactly how he did so – with a glass of water and a pizza.
