This year’s epic is set in 1980s Blackpool, at The World Ballroom Dancing Championships… It’s Strictly like you’ve never seen it before! Expect big hair, big outfits, big dramas and huge laughs.
Kicking off at 7.00pm on Friday 9th February 2018 and playing in two-hour episodes continuously until Sunday 11th February at 9.00pm, (yes, that’s right – through both nights) this year’s Improvathon looks set to be even more exciting, more creative and more… sparkly than ever before!
Audience members can drop in for any 2-hour episode over the weekend or buy a full 50-hour event pass for only £65 (£55 only if booked before Christmas 2017). This is the improv version of binge watching a TV box set – will just one episode be enough? Probably not…
There’s also a special ‘Family Episode’ on Sunday 11th February at 11.00am – suitable for kids of all ages!
Will the performers be able to complete the whole 50 hour mind-bending sleep-defying distance? If they do, what will sleep deprivation do to them? Who will drop in to perform along the way? There’s only one way to find out! Hilarious, unpredictable, and unlike anything else, this is theatre at its most exciting.Totally live and totally unrehearsed.
