A student protestor has pleaded guilty to throwing a fire extinguisher off the roof of the Conservative Party Headquarters.
Edward Woollard, 18, pleaded guilty to violent disorder at City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court today.
The incident happened at Millbank Tower in Westminster on November 10 when a demonstration against proposed rises in tuition fees got out of hand resulting in violent skirmishes between students and police.
Woollard turned himself into police after news footage showed him hurling the extinguisher from the seven storey tower.
“He is very sorry for his actions,” Woollard’s lawyer Matt Foot told City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court.
Woollard will be sentenced at Southwark Crown Court at a later date.
