June will welcome East London’s very own Tobacco Dock to the Rooftop Film Club roster, as well as a rotating medley of top traders curated by street food royalty KERB.

The new Tobacco Dock venue will offer a completely unique rooftop setting and 360 views of some of London’s best skyline architecture. Rooftop residents Nespresso will be on hand serving the ultimate coffees complemented by liquid liberation from cocktail connoisseurs Spirted Mixers.

Founder/Director of Tobacco Dock Jonathan Read says: We cannot wait to welcome Rooftop Film Club to Tobacco Dock for the 2016 summer season. Wapping is fast becoming one of the capital’s cultural hubs and an inspiring business quarter dedicated to events. Our striking, panoramic views of some of London’s most famous landmarks combined with a stellar programme of films will make Rooftop Film Club the place to be on a midsummer night’s eve.”

Kicking-off the Tobacco Dock season is the fan-favourite Dirty Dancing, followed by a varied programme, from celebrated international flick City of God to Academy award winning, Room. The fun continues across the rooftops, so as the days draw longer gather your film loving mates to catch an outdoor screening of A Clockwork Orange or sing along (badly) to modern musical classic Pitch Perfect and 90’s guilty pleasure Spice World. Movies new to the rooftop roster include a young Matthew McConaughey in Dazed and Confused and the first ever rooftop encore screening of the National Theatre production, A View from the Bridge. To round-up the festivities of London Pride, Rooftop Film Club will host a special Sunday screening of the applauded British film Pride with all profits going to LGBT charity Stonewall.

For those keen beans who can’t wait to get skyward in June, two very special screenings have been added at The Roof Gardens, including critically acclaimed movies Joy (29 May) and Spotlight (30 May).
