A suspected burglar was trapped in a window for six hours when he got stuck trying to climb through.

The hapless ‘burglar’ got wedged in the narrow window and had to wait for several hours with his legs poking out until firefighters were able to release him.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said that the suspected burglar was eventually removed from the window without losing any appendages.

”At 7.30am we were called to reports of a male found stuck in a downstairs window at a house in Tomlins Grove, Bow,” said the spokesman.

”It appears the resident had come down and found the man. He was stuck half in, half out.

”The man was eventually freed by London Fire Brigade who apparently removed the window frame.

”The man, aged 36, was unhurt and has been arrested on suspicion of burglary.”

The suspected burglar apparently got trapped because his backside was too big to fit through the window.

Bummer.
