Australia’s oldest licensed hotel will turn 200 this year. Many visitors have come and gone over the years, but there’s one resident in room number six that refuses to leave.

The sixth room is a hive of ghostly activity and a little girl has been seen in the room and wandering the halls throughout the inns history.

It’s believed that she fell down the stairs nearly 200 years ago.

Little has changed in the room itself since 1815. It still contains a small single bed and chair.

As well as the haunted room, there’s a hidden tunnel underneath the pub that was used to transport patients from the Derwent River to the New Norfolk Insane Asylum. This was done so they wouldn’t be seen on the public streets.

Rather than put people off, visitors seem to come from far and wide. Many asking to stay in room number six.
