Tauranga Boys College, which has correctly predicted the results in previous elections, held its student vote on Tuesday and National won by a landslide.
The party vote was 71 per cent for National with Labour a distant second on 16 per cent, TV3 News reported.
The vote on the Tauranga seat was much closer, with 48 per cent picking National’s Simon Bridges and 42 per cent New Zealand First leader Winston Peters.
Students at the college have predicted 10 of the past 12 elections correctly and been wrong about the Tauranga seat only once.
