Getting Around
The best way to travel around the town is on foot. A tourist train that visits the main sites around Tavira is also a good way to see the town. It runs from the main square and the tour takes about 40 minutes. Some nearby sites, like the Ilha de Tavira beach can be accessed by water taxis.
Getting There
It’s possible to reach Tavira by bus from Faro, Lisbon, Olhao and Vila Real. A train service is also available from Faro which is located about one kilometre from the centre of town.
