Forget scuttling underground to catch the MTR (Hong Kong’s tube system) for the sake of saving a few pounds during your trip. When getting aroung Hong Kong, taxis are most definitely the way to go. Fares start from a minimum rate of around HKD 15 (i.e. approx. 1 pound sterling) but this is generous as it will normally get you easily from A to B within the city. You can cross the whole city for around 3-4 pounds.
