Sunflower & I is tucked away on a back road in Cardiff Bay. The idea behind it is to combine flowers, music, and art, with beautiful interiors to create a relaxing and inviting space. Set in an old bank, the building comprises an independent flower studio, café and bar and the décor is just as important as the floral arrangements and food and drink they serve. We’re certain that when you visit you’ll want to keep this hidden gem to yourself  

Barker Tea House, Castle Arcade, Traditional Afternoon Tea 
Located in the Castle Arcade, Barker Tea House is a hipsters paradise -very cool, very relaxed, very vintage. Sink into a comfy leather chair and take your pick from an extensive selection of teas including the exotically named Aphrodite herbal tea and gunpowder green tea. The afternoon tea portions are generous and include a huge slab of their famous cakes such as the mouth-watering chocolate Parma violet cake (£17.50 for 2 people and £19.50 for 1 person).

The Gentlemen’s Afternoon Tea offers a twist on the traditional swapping finger sandwiches for mini venison burgers and scones and macaroons for chorizo Scotch eggs and Sirloin stuffed Yorkshire puddings.
