The book that inspired Invictus

As part of the Earl’s Court Festival, award winning writer and journalist John Carlin will talk about what is probably the most significant sporting game in history – when Nelson Mandela joined forces with the captain of South Africa’s rugby team to help unite their country in the 1995 Rugby World Cup.

Carlin will talk about Playing the Enemy, the novel that inspired the Clint Eastwood film Invictus, that starred Matt Damon and Morgan Freeman, and his relationship with Nelson Mandela.
