The scene: Commanding a corner of a street Vogue deemed the hippest in Europe, this is a refined gastropub in a comparatively pared-down, open-plan space, so the old boys are equally as comfortable here as the beautiful young trendies.
The grub: A carnivore’s dream. Twenty-eight-day-aged steaks and cote de boeuf and he like are cooked to mouthwatering perfection.
Behind the bar: A passion for whiskey runs through the heart of its drink selection. It’s also got an exhaustive bunch of wine and a variation of beers on tap.
Bill please: A pint will set you back roughly £3.30 and wine from £4.80, but food is the snag. You’ll get little change from a £20 for most mains.
Verdict: There’s an obvious pride in the food, plus you feel trendy just being here.
