The scene: Cheesy American at its best. Sip cocktails while soaking up old school classics – Lionel Richie was heard more than once. This place is geared towards large parties; the private booths are perfect for those making a night of it.
The grub: Get stuck in to a full rack of baby back ribs – but not before the super friendly staff have kitted you out with a plastic bib. Ladylike this place is not. There’s also burgers, fish or salad, and the onion loaf is recommended.
Behind the bar: A wide variety of American bottled beers accompany the ‘manly’ grub, or there’s champagne, wine, spirits and a comprehensive cocktail list.
Bill please: Bottled beers cost £3.50-£4.20, cocktails £6.95. Don’t miss 2-4-1 happy hour, weeknights 4pm-8pm.
Verdict: The Rib Shack is all-American: fun, friendly, and you won’t need to eat again for a week.
