We stopped on the side of the road where the locals were selling crystals gathered from the mountains. A mother asked me whether I had any food I could give her children. I did, but couldn’t give her child one and leave the remaining 10 children empty handed. A solution to the problem occured when everyone from my tour group donated an apple and we handed them out to a very excited bunch of children who came running as soon as they saw the apples. Their smiles were priceless.
