The new production is called A Voyage Through the Underworld and emphasises the magic of The Masked Ball. Ballers will arrive at a check in desk after dusk and take a night train on a journey through dark tunnels transporting them through a network of long lost counter-cultures and iconic venues, with the legendary parties that took place upon those dancefloors. You could ride into a Brixton squat in the 1980s, a Chicago blues club in the 1940s, a New York disco in the late 1970s or a Manhattan speakeasy in the 1930s.
Although this new themed concept has been unveiled for the Summer Masked Ball, favourite venues like The Grand Ballroom and The Terrace will still provide the foundations for a weekend of party abandon in a truly stunning location overlooking Mount’s Bay.
The Summer Masked Ball follows on from a frighteningly successful Halloween Masked Ball that played host to largest collection of partying freaks in Europe.
A first wave of artists has been announced for the Summer Masked Ball including 45 Live, Cuban Brothers, DJ Food, Dicky Trisco, Felix Dickinson, Honey Soundsystem, Horse Meat Disco, Jelly Jazz, Justin Robertson, LTJ Experience, Man Power, Norman Jay MBE, PBR Streetgang, Psyckemajik, Shit Robot, Spiritual South, Space Echo and Tiger and Woods – with lots more to be announced in 2017.
The Masked Ball takes place on May 26-28, at Beacon Crag, Porthleven, Cornwall, starting on the Friday with a grand long table feast, and then running from Saturday into the Sunday Service.
Original ball tickets are available for just £50 for 48 hours of partying, or stay the weekend from Friday to Monday for just £65. Both tickets include camping. Tickets from 2017-summer.maskedball.net/
