The creative production teams responsible for Park Life Festival in Manchester and Heartbreak Hotel, featured on The Jetty in London this summer, have come together to create this purpose-built venue to help Londoners celebrate the dark side of Christmas and join the rebels in the South.

Guests are transported into the mischievous world of the Saloon thanks to their hosts The Snowman, The Sugar Plum Fairy and of course The Rebel Elves who are here after escaping a life of slavery in North Pole under Father Christmas.

The 500 capacity venue is fully heated and covered, with every corner designed to cater to the whims of the most fantastical, playful and debaucherous guests. The Christmas tree-lined climb from the entrance lead to the main saloon bar where a DJ booth looks over the crowd. Here, guests can sample a host of Christmas themed cocktails including dramatic sharer cocktails served up in smoking barrels and containing either a fruity Hendricks Gin punch, or a spicy Bacardi Rum punch.

Guests of The Saloon are treated to performances where the hosts tell their tales of how they escaped Father Christmas and came to find refuge in the South Pole.

The separate food area holds four street food traders and a candy stall from The Pastry Girls as well as a second cocktail bar serving up Jack Daniels and Bacardi rum cocktails. There’s also be a photo booth for guests to capture their visit to the saloon.

The South Pole Saloon is open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday until the 23 December. Entry costs £3 after 7pm and tickets can be purchased on the door or in advance from www.southpolesaloon.com
