From the ‘gin craze’ in the 1700s to minimum unit pricing debates today, this exhibition tells stories of drinking: consumption and regulation, excess and temperance, celebration and destitution, disease and cure.

You’ll discover how doctors, campaigners, artists and satirists have charted the pleasures and pitfalls of wine, beer and spirits and the ways in which the government and the Royal College of Physicians responded – with far-reaching implications for us all today.

Ticket price: Free. Visit Monday – Friday 9am–5pm

Where: Royal College of Physicians, Regent’s Park, 11 St Andrews Pl, NW1 4LE

Until June 27, 2014
