Three Kings

The scene: Cosy and boho, Three Kings is a little haven of happiness in a big bad world. The cluttered decor, fairy lights, open fire, paper-mache rhino and friendly staff will give you that slippers feeling, even before you slam down a shot. There’s an old-school juke-box and on Saturdays nights usually a DJ. The crowd is a mix, with suits and hipsters happily mingling.
The grub: A notch up from pub food with some nice salads as well as hot meals.
Behind the bar: There’s a wide range of beers on tap.
Bill please: A pint costs from £3.30 to £3.70. Food ranges from £6.25 to £7.50.
Verdict: You’ll never come here and wish you’d gone somewhere else. On a week night, it’s perfect for chatting to mates by the fire and at the weekend you can dance, get slaughtered and, if you don’t manage to pull, you can always talk to the rhino.
