More than 40,000 people applied for Australian tickets to the service which will mark 100 years since the Anzac Gallipoli landings.

Attendance is capped by Turkey. The 8,000 Australians will be joined by 2,000 Kiwis, 250 Turkish representatives and 500 officials.

Centenary of ANZAC minister Michael Ronaldson said successful applicants should have received initial email advice, which will be followed by formal letters.
