Love travelling? Love writing? Have you got what it takes to join the TNT team?
The ideal candidate will have an unbridled passion for travel, will know the backpacking circuit inside out, and is a stickler for details. You’ll also have previous writing experience, preferably on a travel magazine, travel website or travel section on a newspaper.
You’ll be comfortable juggling myriad tasks, keeping an eye on multiple deadlines and turning sloppy copy into sharp gold. Proven experience with InDesign is also a must.
You’ll also be comfortable writing across topics including lifestyle and entertainment.
A contacts book brimming with talented freelancers and industry insiders is another preference, as is the ability to work efficiently, turning features around quickly.
As well as working on the weekly print magazine, you’ll be turning copy around on a daily basis for the web, using SEOs and uploading them using our CMS.
Our small team of journalists are expected to have a good knowledge of social media – and understand the benefits of using this medium for features.
You’ll be trained to NCTJ level or equivalent and understand journalism isn’t a 9-5 job.
