More than 450 travel bargain hunters were queueing prior to the opening of the show, and exhibitors have reported bookings far surpassing those of previous years.
And with the second day of the exhibition still to come, Londoners looking for a travel bargain can still snag a deal on Sunday.
TNT Sales Director David Alastin said: “We’re really pleased with how the shows going so far. There’s been a fabulous atmosphere and what’s great is that the people who come to the Travel Show come to book.
“We don’t get moochers and browsers at the TNT Travel Show, we have bookers, people who’ve done their research and are ready to get their trips sorted.”
There’s not just travel deals available, there’s Aussie rules football teams based in London and great paintballing deals on offer too, as well as a fully-stocked bar and games galore.
Also handy services for Antipodeans in London, such as Excess Baggage who have had their best show to date: “We’ve already ran out of forms!” said a spokesperson for Excess Baggage.
“We’ve had to photocopy new some new forms,” she added.
