A number of pre-school kids from Bronwyn’s Place Daycare, just outside of New Zealand’s capital city of Wellington have become minor internet celebrities after a video of them doing a haka has gone viral.
UK publication The Daily Mail has apparently labeled the video of the tiny tots giving a spirited rendition of the Ngati Toa chief Te Rauparaha’s Ka Mate “the cutest haka ever”.
Seeing as the kids are doing the same haka that has become synonymous with New Zealand’s national rugby union team The All Blacks the point is probably moot. After all there’s nothing particularly ‘cute’ about an All Black haka.
The kids give a passionate – if not entirely accurate – rendition of the Maori tribal war dance which you can watch in the video below.
