When an official at Calhoun State Prison saw a bizarre-looking object hovering close to the prison walls on November 21, Gordon County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to find out what the unidentified flying object could be.
According to the Calgary Sun, a ‘suspicious’ vehicle was discovered nearby, which contained a laptop, batteries, and a remote control for the helicopter – plus a large bundle of marijuana.
Speaking to the Calgary Sun, Calhoun County Sheriff revealed his surprise at the find. “I’ve never seen a helicopter (used before),” he said. ”They were in the woods flying it.”
The helicopter in question was found once the officials had searched the vehicle.
The four suspects were able to drop two lots of contraband items over the prison walls, but it is not know what these were. WSB TV has reported that the Atlanta-area people have since been released on bail.
