In a massive win for Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp, his club’s landed midfielder Christopher Samba from Russia’s Anzhi for a reported £12.5m.

Samba said: “QPR is a very good club, Harry is a very good coach. (Chairman) Tony Fernandes is a very passionate man and he wants to take this club to the next level. Tony and Harry have an ambitious vision for the squad and the players they have here are exciting.”

Redknapp conceded he won’t get striker Peter Crouch from Stoke City however, with Tony Pulis unwilling to let the lanky striker go.

Fulham’s Martin Jol has his wish of Dutch left-sided defender and midfielder Urby Emanuelson, who worked with the Fulham boss at Ajax, on loan from AC Milan.

Mario Balotelli’s deal with Milan is locked in for £19.5m, with a guarantee that Manchester City will be a far less interesting place in his absence.

Swansea’s Danny Graham has also signed with Sunderland, who he came off the bench against in a 0-0 draw this week, for a reported £5m.

Premier League side Norwich will bring in Luciano Becchio from the Championship’s Leeds on a three and a half year contract in a direct swap for striker Steve Morison, who Neil Warnock’s pretty excited about.

“Even before Luciano put in his transfer request we had enquired about Steve — he was at the top of my list in January to bring in — and I can’t tell you how delighted I am,” he said.
